I recently have had pain on the outside of my left knee. After doing some research I realized two things. First, I don't stretch enough, which is strange. I come from a cheerleading and gymnastics backround and always stretched. Second, my IT band causing my knee pain.
I did some research and started stretching the area. It didn't really help. So, I decided to get a foam roller. I had heard they were painful but I had no idea what I was getting myself into. It felt like this foam roll was covered in spikes. I followed the instructions and rolled out my IT band and my calves. It hurt so good! After I finished I felt great and it doesn't hurt walking today like it had previous days. If you're having IT band pain, I definitely recomend stretching and foam rolling. Take this groups seriously! It can cause a lot of long term pain if you don't!

If you're like me, getting lipstick to stay on is a near impossible task. It rubs off on your scarf, coffee cup, water bottle, significant other and everything in between. I've been experimenting ways to get my lip color to stay longer and found a miracle today! I applied today before I left for work. Didn't touch up once! I even applied EOS lip balm later in the day. It lasted through eating, coffe & 12+ cups of water. The best part is it is so simple! Keep reading for the simple 4 step process... Step 1: Put tinted moisturizer on your entire face - even your lips and let dry/set! (If you use foundation follow the same step. It should work just as well)
Step 2: Apply TooFaces Shadow Insueance to lips and allow time to dry. Step 3: Apply matte Elf lip color (I used Rich Red) - rub lips and apply a second coat. Step 4: Apply Benefit's Posie Balm on top Voila! That's it! I have yet to try this method with other brands but will keep you all updated on my finds! Am I becoming a morning person? After today’s morning workout, maybe! I wasn’t able to get Week 12 BBG abs done at the gym (no rooms were available for me to use) last night, so I did LISS. I decided on a whim to try and go this morning. Surprisingly, I got up and out and was at the gym by about 6:30. I think my festive pants helped get me awake enough to workout (pictured above). It was nice and empty! I was able to get my step and other equipment without having to doge people. It was really nice! I also got in 10 minutes of 30/30 HIIT (30 seconds on and 30 seconds off) at a 6:58 pace (intervals were at 6:58 but machine said 7:03average for the whole workout). Now, after work I can go for a run, maybe do another HIIT or even just… relax! That’s a thought. I haven’t been able to go home after work and just relax in ages. Let’s hope these morning workouts continue to be as successful as today.
I'd love to hear from you! When do you work out? Are you a morning person or a night owl? |
