Rob and I are always looking for fun, inexpensive ways to go "out on a date". I know some people cringe when couples call going out to dinner a "date", I'm not one of them! I think it's adorable, but I digress. Sometimes it's hard to think of inexpensive things to do, but trust me, they're out there! I've compiled a list of seven inexpensive date ideas below. Click "Read More" to see my 7 ideas! 1: Visit a state or national park. Often times they are free (or close to it). Get out, walk around and snap some fun pictures. Rob and I love going to the Great Swamp National Park and walking around. It is so beautiful and doesn't cost a dime! 2: Picnic at a park. Similar to idea number 1, only this one involves bringing a meal with you. Rob and I have brought takeout to Washington's Rock for dinner. They've got a few picnic tables, so we set up shop and had dinner there. The views were spectacular. The only thing you have to pay for on this, is the food you bring. Cook up a nice dinner at home and bring it with you to save even more money. 3: Go to a driving range. A bucket of 50 golf balls can cost less than $10 depending on where you go. Plus, it's a fun way to get your competitive spirit going & you'll burn some calories! 4: Do yoga together. Technically, this is a workout BUT it can still be fun. Put on Pandora's yogi station, dim the lights and use the free app "Down dog". It walks you through your practice and helps melt away the stress. Anytime we do yoga together, we feel so happy and relaxed after. 5. Catch a game together. While NFL and MLB games are more expensive (maybe not the Jets), try a local team like the Somerset Patriots. Tickets start at $9 and Premium Field Box Seats are only $14. Stadiums often offer general admission or lawn seating. These options get you into the game and save money. 6: Be tourists. Got a city near you with some history? Go and walk around. See the sights. Take in history. Not only is it free, but you'll probably learn something ;-) (I'm discovering Rob's love for photography! He's gotten some good snaps recently.) 7: Carve pumpkins. This is a date night in idea. Rob and I carved pumpkins a few years ago. All it cost was the price of the pumpkins. They both came out great but took foreverrrr, so we haven't done it again. I'll be suggesting this idea again to him for fall! I'd love to hear from you! What activities do you like to do with your significant other for a date that is inexpensive?
xoxo, Chelsea
